About Us
In 2020 New Mexico was in the middle of quarantine. Landmark businesses that had been open for generations were shuttering, and the flourishing film industry was replaced with empty lots, quiet soundstages, and hundreds of cast and crew desperate for work. For the first time in years, the NM film industry was quiet.
Not content with sitting around and waiting for things to come back online, lifetime New Mexican Keagan Karnes and LA transplant Richard Farmer decided to use their 30+ years combined experience in film to take matters into their own hands. The result was Inspirado, a fully New Mexico based production company that specializes in crafting digital content, commercials, and features to create a real filmmaker ecosystem throughout the state.
For them, the purpose isn’t to play second fiddle to big movies or get passed over by coastal commercial shoots. They see a different way forward. One that proudly states that they make art in the Land of Enchantment.
“Keagan Karnes and Richard Farmer are hoping to fill a void when it comes to filming commercials in the state.”
